Design & Communications

Riccardo is a 12th-year Waldorf student from Florence with a deep love for nature, agriculture, philosophy, and writing.

Riccardo, High School student, is passionate about nature, agriculture and philosophy. His Waldorf experience started in the third grade class, in Florence, Italy and now he is in his 12th year. He sees himself working with people in an agricultural-social community that teaches people, produces food, and creates a beautiful space where families can live happily. He hopes to travel to different countries and discover ways of living that can help the world, especially connecting people with nature. In his free time he can be found in the garden, walking in wild spaces, observing beautiful nature or playing the clarinet. He uses his love of writing with WaldorfMinds helping to create this new app. He serves on the Design Team as well as the Communication Team. As a founding member, he hopes that WaldorfMinds helps people to connect each other in a world where the people are pushed for division; connect in a way that can create good things.

We've got the answers for your questions

Who can join WaldorfMinds?

WaldorfMinds is open to high school students (from age 14), parents, teachers, and alumni of Waldorf schools worldwide. Each group has its own dedicated spaces and community features designed to fit their needs.

Is WaldorfMinds safe for younger users?

Absolutely. Safety is central to everything we do. All accounts require phone number verification, the platform follows clear community guidelines, and a team of moderators reviews content. Students under 18 have specific protections — including restrictions on private messaging with users from other community groups.

How is WaldorfMinds different from other social networks?

WaldorfMinds is purpose-built for the Waldorf community, not the general public. There are no ads, no algorithmic feeds designed to keep you scrolling, and no pressure to perform. Every feature — from Reflections to Exchanges — is designed to foster genuine connection, creativity, and real-world experiences.

Is the platform free to use?

Yes. WaldorfMinds is a community-driven project supported by donations and foundations. Our goal is to keep the platform accessible to everyone in the Waldorf world, regardless of where they are or what resources they have.

What do you gain from creating WaldorfMinds?

Nothing financial — every member of our team works as a volunteer, and every donation goes directly into building, moderating, and sustaining the platform. What we gain is harder to put a price on: the chance to build something meaningful with people who share our values, and to give back to a community that shaped who we are.
