Pietro, a high school student dreaming about university, has always loved music. Growing up within a Waldorf school in Florence, Italy, he experienced an educational environment where music and rhythm were naturally integrated into daily lessons and activities. This approach deeply influenced both his creativity and his way of seeing the world. In his free time, Pietro pursues music, philosophy, and economics as his main interests. Alongside school, he loves spending part of his time on this wonderful project even with the challenges that come from also being in school. He was inspired to create WaldorfMinds to create a space that allows cultural exchange, international collaboration, and creating opportunities for young people to connect across different backgrounds and experiences. Inspired by the sense of community he experienced within the Waldorf movement, he hopes to help expand these opportunities for others. This has been a passion project for many years. Within the project, Pietro focuses on team management and the development aspects of the app, while also remaining a dedicated and inspiring leader. He has helped create a warm, lively, and collaborative environment where every voice matters and every idea is valued. Inspired by the opportunities and sense of community he experienced within the Waldorf movement, he hopes to expand similar experiences for others. Pietro has also been a member of the core organizing team for the International Students’ Conference 2026 at the Goetheanum, contributing to team coordination, thematic development, and fundraising efforts. In addition, he collaborates with the Italian music event Già Cantai Allegramente, which brings together all the 7th-grade classes from Italian Waldorf schools through music and shared artistic experiences. Looking ahead, he dreams of traveling more widely, especially to Spain and South America, continuing to explore cultures, music, and new perspectives along the way.
We've got the answers for your questions
Seriously, if you have any questions about the project, we have the answers.
WaldorfMinds is open to high school students (from age 14), parents, teachers, and alumni of Waldorf schools worldwide. Each group has its own dedicated spaces and community features designed to fit their needs.
Absolutely. Safety is central to everything we do. All accounts require phone number verification, the platform follows clear community guidelines, and a team of moderators reviews content. Students under 18 have specific protections — including restrictions on private messaging with users from other community groups.
WaldorfMinds is purpose-built for the Waldorf community, not the general public. There are no ads, no algorithmic feeds designed to keep you scrolling, and no pressure to perform. Every feature — from Reflections to Exchanges — is designed to foster genuine connection, creativity, and real-world experiences.
Yes. WaldorfMinds is a community-driven project supported by donations and foundations. Our goal is to keep the platform accessible to everyone in the Waldorf world, regardless of where they are or what resources they have.
Nothing financial — every member of our team works as a volunteer, and every donation goes directly into building, moderating, and sustaining the platform. What we gain is harder to put a price on: the chance to build something meaningful with people who share our values, and to give back to a community that shaped who we are.
