Laura Keys Moreno, EdD, Waldorf Teacher, enjoys connecting Waldorf pedagogy and practice with mainstream research ensuring students have an ever growing and living academic experience. She supports teachers and parents in their task of teaching, creating mentoring and study groups. Her experience as a Waldorf teacher has centered ‘wonder in education’ as her primary research topic. Waldorf teaching strategies help their students and families create better lives for themselves - give real tools for making a good life. She hopes to continue helping teachers grow in their skills by giving workshops and talks about wonder. While she is home based in the United States, she routinely visits Mexico and Italy. She hopes that WaldorfMinds will help her and her family meet new friends and connect with other schools for future exchanges. Since Laura teaches online, she is interested in how Waldorf and technology can meet in healthy and mindful ways. She answered Pietro’s call to participate in building WaldorfMinds because she wants to be in the thick of what is coming next. As the grandma of the group, she brings lived experience to the conversations. The Waldorf school communities are very special places where life long friendships can be made. Teachers and students take an amazing journey together over many years and deep affection can grow. WaldorfMinds will expand that high ideal of community creating virtual space for relationships to form. Laura is currently serving on teams that serve the concept formation and incorporation. In her free time, you can find her in her garden or baking cookies or researching which is just code for being interested in the world.
We've got the answers for your questions
Seriously, if you have any questions about the project, we have the answers.
WaldorfMinds is open to high school students (from age 14), parents, teachers, and alumni of Waldorf schools worldwide. Each group has its own dedicated spaces and community features designed to fit their needs.
Absolutely. Safety is central to everything we do. All accounts require phone number verification, the platform follows clear community guidelines, and a team of moderators reviews content. Students under 18 have specific protections — including restrictions on private messaging with users from other community groups.
WaldorfMinds is purpose-built for the Waldorf community, not the general public. There are no ads, no algorithmic feeds designed to keep you scrolling, and no pressure to perform. Every feature — from Reflections to Exchanges — is designed to foster genuine connection, creativity, and real-world experiences.
Yes. WaldorfMinds is a community-driven project supported by donations and foundations. Our goal is to keep the platform accessible to everyone in the Waldorf world, regardless of where they are or what resources they have.
Nothing financial — every member of our team works as a volunteer, and every donation goes directly into building, moderating, and sustaining the platform. What we gain is harder to put a price on: the chance to build something meaningful with people who share our values, and to give back to a community that shaped who we are.
